There are several ways to cook lobster tails, and the Red Lobster version is known for its split top shell, with chunks of lobster meat bulging out. To prepare the lobster tail, cut open the top shell with kitchen shears or your fingers. Season the meat with salt and pepper, then brush it with melted butter. You can also broil it, which requires an oven temperature of 550 degrees Fahrenheit. To get the best results, use a hot pan.
To prepare lobster tails for broiling, fill a large saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add the lobster tails one at a time, and then return to a boil. For large lobster tails, allow one minute per ounce of meat. In addition, cut the lobster tails in half or butterfly them and place the meat on top of the shell. Bake them in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.
To steam lobster tails, use a large pot that is about two-thirds full. Add the lobster tails one at a time, keeping the lid ajar to prevent burning. Cook the lobsters until the meat is opaque and white. If the lobster is still too pink or muddy, add a tablespoon of drawn butter and serve them right away. If you are not a fan of the piping hot process, poaching is a great way to make lobster meat juicy and tender.
Before grilling, butterflied lobster tails should be placed on a lined baking sheet. Brush the tails with the butter sauce. They should be opaque and slightly browned. The lobster tails should be broiled for one minute per ounce of meat. Sprinkle them with lemon wedge and fresh parsley before serving. If desired, you can serve the lobster tails with more butter sauce. You can also choose to buy them from the Maine Lobster House, and they will ship them right to your doorstep!
To prepare lobster tails for grilling, first remove the hard shell. After that, the meat is attached to a thin membrane shell. Alternatively, you can use a pair of kitchen scissors to cut the fan from the under-shell. The under-shell is not as hard as the back-shell, so be careful not to cut it with a dull blade. And remember to always use a sharp chef’s knife.
Once the lobster tails are prepared, you can cook them in boiling water. To avoid overcrowding, place the tails separately in the boiling water. Once they’re pliable, cook them for 5-10 minutes until the meat looks white and the shells are red. Then, serve them with drawn butter and enjoy! You’ll be glad you did! There are many ways to prepare lobster tails for broiled preparation!
The best way to thaw a lobster is 24 hours before you want to cook it. To ensure proper thawing, you can use a rimmed sheet pan. Place 4-5 paper towels under the packaging to absorb the liquid that comes out of the lobster. Make sure to leave plenty of room between lobsters, as they need to circulate. To cook lobster tails, follow the instructions carefully. It’s so easy, so don’t delay any longer.
